Case Evaluations
AI-powered pre-screening that identifies issues, assesses case strength, and delivers a written report — before you hire an attorney.
What is a case evaluation?
A case evaluation is a structured AI analysis of your legal situation. You answer a series of guided questions about your circumstances, and FRITH's AI pre-screens your case to identify the key legal issues, potential claims or defences, and a strength assessment.
You receive a written report you can keep and share. The report is designed to help you understand your position before spending money on a full attorney consultation — or to help you prepare for one.
Important: A case evaluation is an informational report — it is not legal advice and does not create an attorney-client relationship. For complex matters, use it alongside, not instead of, a qualified attorney.
How it works — 3 steps
Describe your situation
You complete a structured intake questionnaire. The questions are tailored to the practice area you select and guide you through the relevant facts — dates, parties involved, what happened, and what outcome you are seeking. Most evaluations take 5–10 minutes to complete.
AI pre-screens your case
FRITH's AI analyses your responses against the relevant legal standards for your jurisdiction. It identifies the key legal issues present in your situation, potential claims or defences you may have, applicable laws and precedents, and an initial case strength rating.
Receive your written assessment
You receive a structured written report covering: a summary of the facts as presented, identified legal issues, case strength rating (Weak / Moderate / Strong), recommended next steps, and relevant questions to ask an attorney if you decide to proceed.

Additional practice areas are being added. If your situation does not fit one of these areas, use Ask a Lawyer to describe your circumstances and get guidance on next steps.
Understanding the case strength rating
Your situation appears to meet most or all of the legal criteria for a viable claim or defence. An attorney consultation is strongly recommended to proceed.
Your situation has some supporting factors but also significant gaps or risks. An attorney can help you understand whether the case is worth pursuing.
Your situation as described does not appear to meet key legal thresholds. The report will explain why and may suggest alternative approaches.
The strength rating is based on the information you provide. Incomplete or inaccurate information will affect the accuracy of the rating. When in doubt, provide more detail.
Viewing past evaluations
All your completed evaluations appear on the My Services dashboard and in the Case Evaluation section. Each entry shows the practice area, case strength rating, and date. Click any evaluation to view the full report.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a case evaluation cost?
Pricing for case evaluations is shown at checkout. Different practice areas may have different rates. Check the Case Evaluation page in your portal for current pricing.
Can I run more than one evaluation?
Yes. You can start a new evaluation at any time for any practice area. Each evaluation is a separate purchase.
Can I share my report with an attorney?
Yes. Your report can be downloaded as a PDF and shared with any attorney. It is a useful starting point for a consultation because it organises the key facts and issues already.
What if my situation spans multiple practice areas?
Choose the primary practice area — the one where you believe your main claim or concern lies. You can run a separate evaluation for the secondary area if needed.
