Offline Access

Use FRITH without an internet connection — what's available, what isn't, and how sync works when you reconnect.

FRITH automatically caches data to your device so you can continue working in areas with no cell service — courthouses, rural property inspections, or during flights. The offline indicator (WiFi icon with a slash) appears in the app header when you are disconnected.

How data gets cached

  • Any matter you open is automatically cached to your device for 30 days.
  • Background sync (every 15 minutes while online) refreshes cached matters with any changes made on the web app.
  • Documents smaller than 5 MB are cached when first opened on the device.
  • The entire Contacts list is cached after your first successful sync.
  • Calendar events for the next 60 days are cached during each sync.

How queued changes sync

Changes made offline (time entries, notes, stage updates) are stored in a local queue. When a connection is restored, FRITH automatically uploads all queued changes in the order they were created. A progress indicator appears at the bottom of the screen during sync.

If a conflict occurs (the same field was edited on the web app while you were offline), the server version wins and your offline change is discarded. You will be notified if any changes were overwritten.
