Working with documents

  • Tap any document in the Documents tab to open a full-screen PDF or document viewer.
  • Tap the share icon to send the document via email, AirDrop, or any installed app.
  • Tap the download icon to save a copy to your device Files app.
  • Tap + in the Documents tab to attach a photo from your camera roll or scan a new document.
  • Documents larger than 5 MB require an internet connection to open — they are not cached offline.

Scanning paper documents

  1. 1Open a matter → Documents tab → tap + → Scan Document.
  2. 2Point your camera at the document. FRITH auto-detects the edges and highlights the scan area in blue.
  3. 3Tap the shutter button or wait for auto-capture. You can scan multiple pages in one session.
  4. 4Review the captured pages, crop or rotate if needed, then tap Save.
  5. 5The scanned PDF is saved directly to the matter's Documents tab and synced to the web app.

Updating matter status and stage

Tap the stage pill (e.g. "Intake" or "Discovery") in the matter Overview tab to open the stage selector. Choose the new stage and tap Confirm. The change syncs immediately to the web app. All attorneys on the matter receive a notification if stage-change notifications are enabled in their account settings.

Tip: Use the scanner to photograph post-hearing notes, signed consent forms, or client-provided documents while still at the courthouse — they land in the matter immediately.
