Client messages, call logging, and team communication from your phone.
Client portal messages
Client messages arrive via the FRITH Clients app (your client's app) or the client portal web browser. You receive a push notification for each new message. To read and reply:
- 1Tap the notification, or open the matter → Messages tab.
- 2Read the client's message. Tap the reply field at the bottom.
- 3Type your reply and tap Send. The client receives a push notification.
- 4Attachments: tap the attachment icon in the reply field to send a document from the matter's Documents tab or your device files.
Logging phone calls
Log a call as an activity on a matter — capturing duration, outcome, and optionally creating a time entry in one step:
- 1Open the matter → tap + → Phone Call.
- 2Enter the duration (or use the timer if logging during the call).
- 3Select outcome: Left voicemail / Spoke with client / No answer / Conference call.
- 4Add notes about what was discussed.
- 5Toggle Create time entry to automatically log the call duration as a billable time entry.
- 6Tap Save.
Internal team messages
- Open a matter → Team tab to view and send internal messages visible only to your team.
- Type @name to @mention a colleague. They receive a push notification.
- Team messages are threaded by matter — not a global chat. Keep conversations attached to the relevant matter.
- Starred messages: tap and hold a message → Star to bookmark important notes.
Email notifications deep links
FRITH email notifications (deadline reminders, invoice paid, etc.) include a View in FRITH button. Tapping this on a mobile device opens the FRITH app directly to the relevant record — no need to navigate manually. Make sure FRITH is set as the default handler for getfrith.com links in your device settings.
