App Integration
Connect FRITH to 270+ third-party apps — browse the integration directory, install apps by category, and request new integrations.
Overview
Legal practice management does not happen in a single application. Firms use accounting software, document signing platforms, court filing portals, time tracking tools, CRM systems, video conferencing platforms, and dozens of other specialist tools. The App Integration module is FRITH's app directory — a catalogue of 270+ third-party integrations that extend FRITH's capabilities by connecting it to the software the firm already uses.
Apps in the directory are organised by category (e.g., Accounting, Document Management, Communication, Payment Processing, Court Filing) and can be browsed, filtered, and sorted. Featured apps are highlighted by FRITH based on popularity and complementary functionality. If an integration is not in the directory, the Request Integration button lets the firm nominate it for the roadmap.
Directory Capabilities
Search
Full-text search across all 270+ apps by name, category, or keyword. Results update in real time as you type.
Filters
Filter by pricing (free, paid, freemium), integration type (API, webhook, native), star rating (3+, 4+, 4.5+), and show only featured or popular apps. Multiple filters stack.
Sort Options
Sort by: Relevance (default), Highest Rated, Most Reviewed, Most Installed, Newest, or alphabetically A–Z or Z–A. Use Most Installed to discover what other law firms are using.
Featured Apps
Up to 6 apps are highlighted as Featured at the top of the directory. These are FRITH's recommended integrations for the most common firm needs — typically accounting (Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks), document signing (DocuSign, Adobe Sign), and communication (Zoom, Microsoft Teams).
Categories Sidebar
Navigate by category using the sidebar: Accounting & Finance, Communication, Court Filing, CRM & Marketing, Document Management, eSignature, Payment Processing, Practice Management, Time & Billing, and more. Clicking a category filters the grid instantly.
Request Integration
Can't find an integration you need? Click "Request Integration" to submit a nomination. Provide the app name, your use case, and how critical it is to the firm's workflow. High-demand requests are prioritised on the FRITH integration roadmap.
Installing an Integration
Find the app
Browse by category, search by name, or scroll the directory. Click the app card to open its detail page, which shows a description, features, pricing, reviews, and connection requirements.
Review connection requirements
Each integration lists what it needs to connect: API keys, OAuth permissions, webhook endpoints, or admin access to the third-party account. Confirm you have the necessary access before proceeding.
Click Connect
Click the Connect button on the app detail page. OAuth integrations open an authorisation flow in the third-party service — follow the prompts to grant access. API key integrations prompt you to enter the key directly in FRITH.
Configure the integration
After connecting, most integrations have a settings panel for configuring what data to sync, sync frequency, and which FRITH entities to map to the third-party service (e.g., which FRITH contact fields map to which CRM fields).
Test the connection
Use the Test Connection button to verify the integration is working. Most integrations show a "Last sync" timestamp and a health indicator — a green light means data is flowing as expected.
Common Integration Categories
Directory Display Options
The integration directory can be viewed as cards (default, showing the app icon and one-line description) or as a compact list (showing name, category, rating, and install count in rows). Pagination supports 12, 24, or 48 apps per page — use 48 per page when browsing a specific category for a comprehensive view. The current active filters and sort are preserved as you paginate.
Integration strategy
- • Start with the integrations that eliminate the most manual re-entry. Accounting (Xero/MYOB) and eSignature (DocuSign/Adobe Sign) are almost always the highest-value integrations for a law firm — invoices don't need to be re-keyed into the accounts package, and signed documents don't need to be manually filed.
- • Connect email before anything else. An email integration that automatically logs client correspondence against matters saves 5–10 minutes per attorney per day and creates a complete communication record without relying on anyone to remember to log calls.
- • Review installed integrations every quarter. Integrations accumulate over time and some stop being used. An integration that is connected but not actively maintained can have stale API credentials or fail silently. Remove integrations you no longer use.
- • Test after every credential rotation. If the firm rotates API keys or OAuth tokens (particularly after a security event), every integration that uses those credentials needs to be reconnected and tested.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are integrations shared across the whole firm or per-user?
It depends on the integration type. Firm-level integrations (accounting, CRM, court filing) are installed once by an administrator and apply to the whole firm. User-level integrations (personal email, calendar) are installed per user under their own Settings → Integrations tab.
What happens if an integration stops working?
FRITH monitors integration health continuously. If an integration fails (expired token, rate limit exceeded, third-party service outage), the integration tile shows a red "Connection error" indicator and an alert is sent to the firm's Owner and Admin accounts. Click the integration tile to see the error detail and reconnect.
Can I install integrations on behalf of another team member?
Administrators can install and configure firm-level integrations. User-level integrations (personal Gmail, Outlook calendar) can only be installed by the individual user, because they require authorisation from the user's personal account.
Is there an API for custom integrations?
Yes. FRITH provides a REST API and webhook support for building custom integrations not available in the directory. API documentation is available at api.getfrith.com/docs. Custom integrations connect via the same App Integration module using an API key from Settings → Developer.
